About us
In the spirit of Northeastern’s mission, our journey is fueled by theory and inspired by utility. This is not just research; it’s a mission to empower lives. With each discovery, we inch closer to a world where every individual enjoys the gift of improved health and effective living.
Our journey is theoretical, our impact is practical, and our inspiration knows no bounds.
Our Mission
The Institute for Cognitive and Brain Health at Northeastern University investigates the effects of lifestyle choices, events and health behaviours as well as their physiological sequelae on brain and mental health. We design, implement, and assess various interventions across the lifespan to enhance brain and mental health as well as quality of life both in the United States and across the globe. Efficacy of these interventions are validated with state of the art neuroimaging techniques, computational models, and sophisticated behavioral paradigms.
The overall goal is to align with Northeastern’s mission of truly novel, theoretically-motivated, use-inspired research that embraces diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging to enhance the mental health of the greater community.
